CONSIDERACIONES GENERALES

        Bajo esta unidad se pretende exponer un panorama general y fundamental asociado con los campos de la kinesiología (estructural y mecánica), la anatomía (topográfica [superficial] y funcional) y la biomecánica. (cinemática y cinética).  Se incluyen términos esenciales para poder comprender el contenido teórico y práctico del curso vigente.  También, se discutirán tópicos relacionados con la organización del cuerpo humano, incluyendo su esquema de estudio, el análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo del sistema humano particular, las ubicaciones anatómicas del organismo humano, las direcciones de referencia, los planos, ejes, el centro de gravedad y otros asuntos de importancia.

JUSTIFICACIÓN.1

        El material de estudio integrado bajo esta unidad instructiva representa los cimientos para el entendimiento prospectivo de la kinesiología, anatomía funcional y la biomecánica . Por consiguiente, los alumnos deben primero comprender el material presentado en esta unidad, antes de poder proseguir para los próximos componentes del curso.

OBJETIVOS DE APRENDIZAJE

        Se contempla que al culminar la Unidad 1, los estudiantes serán capaces de dominar la competencias necesarias para:

Conocimientos:

1. Discriminar entre los diversos conceptos que forman parte de la kinesiologia, anatomía funcional y biomecánica, satisfactoriamente.
2. Organizar los variados componentes que describen e identifican las estructuras y movimientos del organismo humano, sin errores.
3. Esquematizar las diferentes ramas de la kinesiología, anatomía, cinética y cinemática, correctamente.
4. Identificar los planos y ejes que corresponden a cada movimiento articular, sin equivocarse.
5. Predecir la localización aproximada del centro de gravedad de todo el cuerpo, según sea la posición de este, su dimensiones físicas y la localización corporal del del tejido adiposo, con un máximo de exactitud de 80%.

Destrezas:

1. Localizar el centro de gravedad de todo el cuerpo de un deportista o individuo practicando ejercicios físicos, con precisión.
2. Descubrir los planos y tipos de ejes de movimiento internos/articulares, aquellos asociados al centro de gravedad y los externos mientras se ejecuta una destreza deportiva o un ejercicio, por lo menos con un 75% de precisión.
3. Evaluar los variados movimientos articulares que se llevan a cabo en los deporte, sin equivocarse.
4. Distinguir las direcciones del cuerpo humano en relación a una estructura anatómica estudiada, correctamente.
5. Desarrollar un programa de ejercicios que empleen simultáneamente múltiples articulaciones y planos, satisfactoriamente.

Actitudes:

1. Justificar las aplicaciones que posee de la kinesiología, anatomía funcional y biomecánica en el deporte y en el entrenamiento físico y deportivo, con originalidad.
2. Proponer contextos en en el deporte y programas de ejercicios donde se incorporan las dimensiones prácticas de la kinesiología, anatomía funcional y biomecánica, con seguridad.
3. Explicar la importancia de la biomecánica en la práctica deportiva, con originalidad. 
4. Debatir el valor práctico y científico de el artefactos basados en principios biomecánicos que se utilizan para el entrenamiento deportivo, con seguridad.
5. Defender las evaluaciones cinemáticas cualitativas y cuantitativas en el campo atlético, correctamente.

MATERIALES Y EQUIPOS

        En orden de ser posible completar este módulo, se requiere tener acceso a ciertos vídeos en línea, sea de YouTube y los que dispone la base de datos institucional, conocido como ALEXANDER STREET.  Éste ultimo se autentica con su número de estudiante.  Lo anterior se posibilita si los educandos poseen la tecnología que les permita acceder a la internet/web, sean computadoras portátiles, dispositivos móviles inteligentes (e.g., tabletas digitales, celulares) y otros.  Además, conviene disponer de recursos escolásticos, ya sean digitales o impresos, asociados a la kinesiología, anatomía funcional y biomecánica.  Algunos de estas referencias académicas se hallan en las bases de datos digitales del Centro de Acceso a la Información (CAI), perteneciente a la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico (ir a: http://cai.inter.edu/listado_db.htm).

ACTIVIDADES DE APRENDIZAJE Y EVALUACIÓN

        A lo largo de este módulo, se prevé trabajar varias experiencias prácticas, de forma individual y en equipos de trabajo.  Estas aplicaciones se realizan en forma de laboratorios, análisiis de videos, pruebas cotas y exámenes.  También, se proyecta que los alumnos completen diversas experiencias de aprendizaje, sea de enfoque colaborativo o a nivel individual.  Las aplicaciones didácticas previas se elaboran en la forma de laboratorios, evaluaciones de videos digitales, pruebas cortas y exámenes parciales y de la unidad.
