"WORLD WIDE WEB"

INTRODUCCION

  Este taller de dos días se dividirá en dos secciones principales, a saber: (1) fundamentos y principios teóricos sobre la planificación, diseño y publicación de páginas para el "World Wide Web" (WWW, Web), y (2) usos de los editores para páginas WWW. En esta segunda parte del taller estaremos particularmente empleando el "Composer" de Netscape Commmunicator 4.

OBJETIVOS

  Al finalizar este taller se espera que los participantes puedan:

  1. Identificar los pasos iniciales a seguir para el desarrollo de páginas HTML.
  2. Preparar un sistema de páginas WWW apropiadamente organizadas.
  3. Aplicar los recursos gráficos y de animación en las páginas preparadas para el Web.
  4. Reconocer las diferentes servidores WWW que proveen recursos de diseño y tutoriales para la construcción de páginas en el Web.
  5. Identificar los diferentes editores del Web.
  6. Aplicar las funciones de la herramienta FTP para subir las páginas WWW al servidor correspondiente.
  7. Conocer la terminología empleda para la contrucción de páginas en el Web.

BOSQUEJO DEL TALLER

Primer Día: 14 de enero de 1998

 I. Introducción:

    1. Usos/ventajas para los profesores de preparar páginas WWW:

        a. Apoyo a los cursos existentes.
        b. Medio de comunicación entre maestro y estudiante.
        c. Forma de asignar proyectos/asignaciones a los estudiantes.
        d. Puede proveer enlaces a servidores WWW vinculados con los tópicos discutidos en
            clase.
        e. Educación a distancia (cursos en línea vía WWW).

    2. Recursos en la Internet/Web.
    3. Donde publicar las páginas del Web (servidores WWW):

        a. Servidores comerciales (proveedores de internet).
        b. Servidores gratuitos.
        c. Servidores académicos (Universidad Interamericana de PR-Metro: coqui.lce.org ).

    4. Anuncio/Mercadeo de sus páginas:

        a. Promoción de una página WWW
        b. Métodos de registro

II. Principios Generales para la Creación de Páginas WWW

    1. Planificación.          4. Implementación.
    2. Análisis.                 5. Promoción.
    3. Diseño.                  6. Revisión/Actualización y Mantenimiento.

III. Características de un Apropiado Sistema de Páginas para el Web

  1. Interactiva.
  2. Fácil de navegar.
  3. No muy cargada de animaciones y gráficas.
  4. Dinámica.
  5. Competitiva.
  6. Disponible siempre.
  7. Actualizada.
IV. Diseño de la Página WWW
  1. Diseño de la interfaz.
  2. Diseño en el servidor.
  3. Diseño de la página.
  4. Uso de gráficas y animaciones.
  5. Elementos de multimedios para la página en el Web.
V. Recursos/Herramientas de Apoyo para las Páginas WWW.

     1. Usos de codificaciones/lenguajes de programación especiales:

         a. JavaScripts.
         b. Common Gateway Interface (CGI) scripts.

     2. Animaciones.
     3. Shockwave.

Segundo Día: 14 de enero de 1998

I. Herramientas de Creación: Métodos de Autoría -Editores del Web/HTML:

    1. Tipos de editores:

         a. Editores de texto (Aplicaciones de Autoría).
         b. Editores HTML.

     2. ¿Cual es el mejor?

II. Uso del "Composer" de Netsacape Communicator 4:

  1. Conociendo la interfaz y comandos.
  2. Práctica:                                                                                                                                                                                            a. Planificar el flujo/enlances de las páginas en el Web.

    3. b. Determinar el diseño de la página WWW.
    c. Preparar una página principal ("home page") con los enlaces ("links")
        correspondientes.
    d. Preparar un prontuario.
    e. Preparar un página de enlaces hipertexto hacia servidores con información académica.
